Stress Management to End Headaches

How many of us have to deal with stress on a daily basis?  There is no doubt that all of us have to go through these situations, regardless of what our lot is in life.  If we have to work regularly, we probably experience a great deal of stress as a result of that work and if we stay at home, our home life can also provide us with stress in various forms.  Unfortunately, the stress that we experience can not only have the mental effect on us but it can also affect us in a physical way, especially if the stress is allowed to go unchecked.

It is difficult to number the amount of people who are dealing with headaches as a result of stress in their lives.  One of the reasons why this is the case is because many of the headaches either go unchecked or they are blamed on something else, even whenever stress is the trigger which causes them to happen.  That is why it is important for you to remove the stress from your life whenever possible and if not possible, at least to be able to cope with that to the extent that it does not affect your health negatively.

I'm sure that the majority of you would love to be able to remove all of the stress from your life at one time but the unfortunate fact of life is, stress is something that we are going to have to put up with regularly.  That is why coping techniques are the only viable solution for many of us when it comes to dealing with the stress that we are under.  These coping techniques can take on a number of different forms, but finding the one that is most effective for you is what is going to help you to be able to deal with it.

Some of the first places that you can look for stress management include watching what you eat daily, getting some exercise and making sure that you get plenty of sleep.  You may also want to try meditating on a daily basis, giving your mind the opportunity to dwell on relaxing things for a while.  I find that this is most beneficial whenever I first get up in the morning.  There are a number of other things that you can do to relieve your stress but you will find that once you have successfully learned how to cope with it, you will be able to say goodbye to many of the headaches that you experience.

Smoking, Drinking and Headache Problems

There are a number of different vices that are very common among humans, smoking and overdrinking being two of them.  The unfortunate thing is, these two things, although there are considered enjoyable by those that do them are some of the worst things that you can possibly do for your health.  Although either of them might be okay whenever they were done in moderation, they tend to be done to excess and that is where the problems really occur.  One of the issues that you may be experiencing by smoking and drinking too much is headaches, and that makes either of these pastimes not worth the effort.

Smoking is probably behind more headaches than almost any other vice that we have as individuals.  It constricts the blood vessels and cuts off the flow of oxygen to the extremities of the body to a certain extent.  It is also constantly putting chemicals into our body that certainly can damage it in a number of different ways.  To put it plainly, smoking is not good for you and this is a fact that many of us can attest to, even those of those that smoke regularly.  Fortunately, many of the headaches that you receive as a result of smoking can be stopped, simply by giving up the habit.  That is easier said than done, as most of us can attest to as well.

Drinking too much can not only cause headaches as a result of a hangover, it can also cause headaches in us as a result of the poisoning effect that it has on the body.  A little bit of alcohol is not going to hurt you and as a matter of fact, it may have benefits for the human body, such as increased circulation and a gentle cleansing.  Over drinking, on the other hand, causes a whole host of problems in the human body which includes headaches.

If you enjoy drinking, simply moderating the amount that you drink on a regular basis might be enough to stop the headaches that are occurring.  If you are having headaches as a result of a buildup of toxins in the body from drinking, it might be necessary for you to abstain completely from alcohol for a little while until your body has the opportunity to cleanse itself completely.  These are just two things that might be causing your headaches, but they are two things that are avoidable.

Exercise Your Headaches Away

There are very few people who never experience headaches and for those fortunate few, they really don't have any idea what the rest of us are going through on a regular basis.  The unfortunate fact of the matter is, far too many of us experience headaches and at times we may have them chronically.  Many of us have tension headaches regularly as a result of stress in our lives and others may have such problems as sinus headaches or even migraines that occur one after the other.  Although there are specific things that can be done for each type of headache, something that tends to work for almost any of these conditions is exercise.

I'm going to speak quite candidly here, very few of us feel like exercising whenever we are in the middle of a headache.  To be quite honest, that is the worst time that you could exercise, anyway.  The type of exercise that I'm talking about is exercise that is done whenever you're feeling okay and it can provide the body with a number of different benefits that can help to reduce the amount of headaches that you experience regularly.  Here are some of the reasons why that is the case.

First of all, exercise, when it is done properly, is going to give you some short-term benefits that can help to alleviate stress and to make you feel good.  It does this in the form of chemicals that it releases into the body which are known as endorphins.  It is these endorphins that make people who exercise regularly continue to come back for more, even when those of us that don't exercise would consider it to be abuse.  The way to release these endorphins, however, is by exercising for 20 minutes at a stretch with an elevated heart rate.

Another reason why exercise can help to remove headaches from our lives completely is because it brings a balance to the body that is often lacking.  Many headaches can be directly traced back to an imbalance inside of the body of some sort or another.  Whenever we are able to sort the situation out, it removes many of the problems that occur as a result of it.  That is why exercise can certainly help you to get rid of the headaches that you are experiencing for the long-term.  When you exercise regularly, you may just live headache free for the rest of your life.

Apply Heat on Your Neck and Relieve the Tension

Apply Heat on Your Neck and Relieve the Tension

Many of us that suffer from headaches do not necessarily suffer in the same way as others.  For example, one of the more common types of headaches are tension headaches and these can come along for any variety of reasons.  Many of us have these headaches in the back of our head and they can generally be related to tension that is felt throughout the neck and shoulder areas.  One of the best things that you can possibly do in order to alleviate these tension headaches is to apply some heat to the general area.

One of the most effective ways for you to do this is to do it in the shower.  The unfortunate thing is, many of us do not have the availability of a shower whenever we are in the middle of one of the tension headaches that we experience.  Often, we have these headaches at work and the last thing that we are able to do whatever we are working is stop to take a shower.  If, however, you happened to experience one of these headaches whenever you have the availability of a shower, standing underneath the hot water and allowing it to run down over your neck and shoulders can really go a long way in helping to relieve the situation.

Applying heat in other ways to the area can also help, such as having a warm compress or using a hot water bottle.  Although it is not as effective as allowing water to run over the area, it can help to relieve some of the tension that is felt in these muscles.  Many times, it is not necessarily the tension in the muscles that cause the headache but it is something that builds on itself and makes the headache worse.  By relieving this additional pressure off of the area, we can usually make the headache manageable and perhaps even get rid of it altogether.

Regardless of whether you use a shower or a hot water bottle, one of the best things you can possibly do is to take care of the situation as quickly as possible.  Tension headaches may start out small and we might actually ignore them for quite some time until we are unable to ignore them any longer.  It is during this time that the tension really mounts and our muscles tighten, making it difficult to get rid of the problem when it reaches this point.  That is why it is better if you treat it quickly rather than allowing it to go untreated.

Avoiding Headache Triggers in the Form of Allergies

We live in a world that is becoming increasingly polluted and unfriendly for the human body.  This is not only true in the general environment in which we live, it is also true in many cases with the types of foods that we have available for us as well.  The preservatives that are used in these foods are often something that breaks down the human body from the inside out and other issues, such as genetic manipulation of fruits and vegetables can also cause us considerable problems.  Unfortunately, this is led to an epidemic of allergies that many of us are experiencing regularly and the headaches that go along with them cause many of us to suffer considerably.

If you are having headaches as a result of allergies, you need to understand that the headaches are not really a problem, it is the fact that you are triggering the headaches by putting things into your body that it is trying to reject.  This is the case with food allergies, something that many of us suffer from and may not even recognize.  Some of the more common food allergies include dairy, preservatives, sweeteners (especially artificial sweeteners) and shellfish.  Even if we have a slight allergy to these that is not immediately recognized whenever we eat them, they can cause a headache to come along later on in the day and it can be difficult to trace it back to the specific trigger.

In order to overcome this situation, you need to be able to identify the things that are triggering the headaches and remove them from your diet.  This often requires that you keep a log of everything that you eat, along with the way that you feel.  Don't be surprised if the headaches occur several hours after you eat something that is triggering it.  Just be aware that almost anything you eat could be the culprit, so be ready to remove it from your diet.

Another allergy problem that can easily trigger headaches is from pollen.  That is why many of us suffer from headaches on a seasonal basis and we can almost mark the calendar as to when those headaches are going to start.  As long as you can avoid the pollen whenever possible, by running a high quality air filter in your bedroom and washing your hair before bed, you will be able to ease the amount of suffering that you receive as a result of the pollen and the headaches will be few and far between.

Can Weight Loss Cure Your Headaches?

You would probably be surprised with the number of individuals who are suffering from headaches as a result of carrying around too much weight.  One of the reasons why this is the case is because very few individuals recognize the fact that obesity, or even just carrying around a little bit of extra fat can harm the human body considerably.  It not only puts a lot of wear and tear on the joints, it can also throw us out of balance on the inside and this can lead to headaches.

That is why it is important for you to make sure that you are watching your weight and eating healthily on a regular basis.  This is especially true if you suffer from headaches regularly and cannot identify what it is that is causing them.  The weight loss that you experience can go a long way in helping you to reduce those headaches and a healthy diet that you are eating is also going to help you to be balanced and to reduce those headaches even further.  Try eating raw fruits and vegetables with every meal, even if you don't make them the bulk of your daily diet.  The anti-inflammatory properties of those food items can go a long way in helping you to reduce head pain.

Another thing that you can do which not only assist you in being able to lose weight, it often removes headaches very quickly is to exercise regularly.  This exercise can either be cardiovascular or it can be weight lifting, preferably a mixture of the two.  After exercising for 20 minutes straight, your body will release endorphins into it which can help to reduce your headaches considerably.  It will also boost your metabolism and improve your circulation, two things that can help you to lose weight and can remove headaches on their own.

The unfortunate thing is, it is not going to be easy for you to lose weight, especially if you have been carrying it around for a long time.  I would suggest that you resist the urge to buy prepackaged foods that claim to be able to help you to lose the weight, simply because many of the preservatives that are in these foods are headache triggers for many individuals.  All that is really necessary is that you need a clean diet and get some exercise.  You will notice a difference in the weight on your body and you will suffer from far fewer headaches, not long after you start.

Is a Lack of Sleep behind Your Headaches?

Of all of the different things that we need in order to be as healthy as possible, sleep is something that is generally left to chance.  Most of us need anywhere from eight to nine hours of solid sleep every night in order to do our best but unfortunately, we tend to get anywhere from five to six hours of sleep if we are fortunate.  A lot of us feel as if we are able to do this without any repercussions but more than likely, you are experiencing some and blaming them on something else.  A good example of this is if you are having headaches regularly, as this can easily be attributed to a lack of sleep.

You have two options as far as improving the amount of time that you are sleeping is concerned.  The first option is to take the time out of your day, every day in order to get enough sleep.  Don't think that you can cut back on the hours that you are sleeping during the week and then catch up on the weekend.  It does work to a certain extent, but the sleep debt that you are building up is going to really hurt you and your health.  If at all possible, make sure that you get enough sleep and go to sleep every night at the same time.  This will help you to wake refreshed and can cut down on the number of headaches you are having.

Another thing that you can do is to get more quality sleep, even if you're not able to get more of a quantity of sleep.  There are a number of different ways for you to achieve this but one of the best is for you to exercise regularly and eat a proper diet.  If you are healthy on the inside, it will go a long way to helping you to get the most out of the sleep that you get every night.  Even if you don't increase the amount of sleep that you're getting, taking care of yourself can make a difference in your quality of sleep and the amount of headaches that you have.

There are a number of other things that you can do which can improve the quality of your sleep.  Preparing in advance for a good night's sleep is one of those, along with making sure that you have the proper environment in order to achieve deep sleep.  It may take a little bit of adjustment on your part but that adjustment will be well worth it whenever you start to see the health benefits of doing so and the headaches disappear.

Managing Eye Strain and Headache Problems

Do you work at a computer on a regular basis?  If you do, you probably suffer from headaches from time to time as a result of eye strain.  There are also a number of other reasons why individuals that work on computers regularly suffer from headaches and in order for you to overcome those headaches, you really have two different choices.  You can either stop working on the computer, which is not an option for many of us or you can alter the way that you work on the computer, which is something that any of us can do.

As far as eye strain is concerned, there are a few different things that can be done which can alleviate the strain and reduce the amount of headaches that you get.  If you're having a difficult time seeing the screen, it might be necessary for you to get glasses or to change your prescription so that you can see it more clearly.  It is also possible for you to get a magnifier for the screen or perhaps to increase the font size on the screen so they do not have to strain in order to see it.

Another problem that is directly related to this is that many of us that work on the computer tend to find ourselves hunched forward with our shoulders shrugged around our neck.  This is an absolutely horrible thing that you do to your body and it can certainly cause headaches very quickly.  Unfortunately, many of us tend to do this because it gets additional heat and blood to the brain, allowing us to think a little bit harder.  That is why we often find ourselves in this position whenever we are troubleshooting.

The way that we can solve either of these problems and in many cases, overcome the headaches that we are experiencing is by getting up and moving around on a regular basis.  If you work at the computer for extended periods of time, set a timer for yourself that will go off every 30 to 60 minutes.  When the timer goes off, no matter what it is that you are doing, get up and stretch.  Stretch your neck muscles, relax your shoulders and allow yourself to look at something other than the computer screen for a minute or two.  Believe it or not, this is all that is generally necessary in order to overcome the headaches that are associated with computer use.

Hydrate Yourself for Headache Relief

There are a number of different problems that we experience on a regular basis, some of which can be considered to be rather mild and others that are life altering.  Whenever you have headaches that are chronic, this certainly falls under the category of being life altering and it is something that all of us will enjoy being able to get rid of.  The unfortunate thing is, the majority of us are suffering headaches and have absolutely no idea why it is that we are suffering them in the first place.  In many cases, believe it or not, it can actually be traced back to a problem with dehydration.

This may come as a bit of a shock to you, especially if you have gone to numerous doctors who are really unable to do anything more than give you something to mask the pain.  The reason why the medical profession as a whole does not recognize how much of a problem dehydration is, is because there is no money in it for them.  If you were to go to a doctor and they were to tell you that you need to drink water in order to get better, they would have a hard time justifying charging you the amount that they charge you.  Not only that, if they solve your dehydration, they would probably lose you as a patient because you would not need the services of a doctor any longer.

Hydrating the body is not difficult to do but it is going to take some persistence on your part in order to accomplish it.  The basic formula for hydrating yourself is to drink half of your body weight every day in ounces of water.  Along with that, you are going to need to take a pinch of sea salt from time to time in order to allow the water to stay in your body long enough to work its magic.  The salt can either be put directly into the water that you are drinking or you can put a pinch under your tongue, my personal favorite way of doing it.

The beauty of hydrating yourself is the fact that it can not only get rid of headaches quickly, it can really help you to feel your very best which is something that you may have been missing out on for quite some time.  Why not get a glass of water and start hydrating yourself now?  You may be able to start feeling better by tomorrow.

What is premenstrual tension?

According to the definition of premenstrual syndrome featured on Wikipedia, there is a difference between PMS and PMT. However, according to most medical sites that mention both PMT and PMS, they tend to do so interchangeably.
In essence, they are one and the same thing as far as most authoritative online resources are concerned so I am going to assume that they are the same for the purposes of this book as well.
Indeed, many resources suggest that PMS is a far more accurate description of the condition suffered by so many women every month mainly because describing it as premenstrual tension suggests that there is only one symptom suffered by these ladies.
In truth, there are many different symptoms suffered by those who are troubled by the condition, so using the phrase premenstrual syndrome is probably more accurate as it suggests that there are many different signs or ill-effects of the condition, which is absolutely true.
Although estimates of how many women actually suffer PMS vary, it is a fact that most women will suffer the condition on at least some occasions. However, for the vast majority of PMS sufferers, it is a condition which although it is generally very mild nevertheless besets them every month. Premenstrual syndrome is something that is completely regular feature of their life which (it seems) they cannot avoid.
For most women who suffer PMS, the condition usually sets in between seven and fourteen days before the beginning of their period, although for some women who suffer severe PMS, the condition can become one that is almost permanent, with symptoms being present before, during and after menstruation. This happens because many symptoms have a knock-on effect that causes other problems to arise at a later date, hence you have what is effectively non-stop PMS
.

Eat Hot Foods for Sinus Pressure Relief

There are a number of different types of headaches that we can experience.  Some of us have tension headaches while others may experience migraines regularly.  One type of miserable headache that unfortunately, far too many of us have to deal with on a regular basis is sinus headaches.  The pressure and pain that comes from one of these headaches is almost indescribable and unless you have felt the pain yourself, you really cannot be sympathetic to those who are feeling it.  Fortunately, there are some things that can be done in order to relieve the sinus pressure and the headaches along with it.  Believe it or not, one of those things is eating hot food.

If you enjoy eating hot food, you have probably experienced a runny nose whenever the food is extraordinarily hot.  This is something that many of us aspire to and it is rather enjoyable for us whenever we have a real desire for that type of spicy food.  If we do it regularly, however, it can help to keep things moving in our sinuses and may be able to relieve much of the pain that we are feeling by unclogging our sinuses before they have the opportunity to get too bad.

Many people also take cayenne pepper on a daily basis, not only because it helps with the sinuses but also because it helps with the overall function of the human body.  This hot food is an excellent choice for anybody that has to deal with sinus pressure and headaches.  It can either be taken directly, perhaps mixed with a little bit of water or it can be taken in capsule form for individuals that have a difficult time with the spicy food.

Of course, there are a number of different things that can be done which can help somebody with sinus headaches to overcome them.  For example, you can do a nasal rinse on a daily basis in order to keep things flowing in the sinuses and to flush out any debris and pollen which tends to collect in that area.  You may also find relief by sleeping with a quality air filter in your bedroom, one that will help to remove the pollen that can cause much of the sinus problems that we experience.  The real point is, whatever can be done in order to relieve the pressure is going to go a long way in helping you to avoid the headaches.

Manage Your Stress and Manage Headaches Effectively

Some headaches that we have can easily be traced back to things that happen in our lives, particularly when we are facing stressful situations.  What many of us don't realize, however, is exactly how much of a role stress plays in the overall headaches that we have.  The unfortunate thing is, many of us are unable to remove the things from our lives that cause us to stress so if you want to be able to handle it, and the headaches that you are experiencing effectively you need to be able to deal with the stress to the extent possible.

Stress is something that not only causes mental strain for many of us, when it is left unchecked, it can also cause physical problems that extend far beyond headaches.  Unfortunately, we live in a world that does not give us the opportunity to deal with the stress effectively by escaping it from time to time.  The good news is, there are some ways for you to be able to deal with it, provided you can take a few minutes for yourself on a regular basis.

One way of dealing with stress successfully is finding some time to meditate on a daily basis.  It is not necessary for you to do any weird ritual in order for this to work and you do not need to spend an extraordinary amount of time doing it.  Just allow yourself the time on a regular basis to dwell on positive thoughts and the stress that you are feeling is going to be lessened to a certain extent.

Another thing that you can do which can help you to conquer your stress is to exercise regularly.  Many of us tend to skip exercise, simply because we think that we don't have the time for it.  The reality of the situation is, however, people that exercise regularly tend to get more things done because they have more energy and they are able to handle stressful situations better.  Not only is it the release of endorphins in your body that causes distress to disappear, it is also because your body is a much more effective machine.

There are many other things that you can do which can help you to deal with the stress that you are facing successfully.  Provided you take the time that is necessary in order for you to conquer the stress, you may have a good opportunity of conquering your headaches along with it.

Dairy - a Common Headache Trigger

There are a number of different things which commonly cause headaches in individuals but surprisingly enough, one of the most common is dairy products.  The reason why this comes as a surprise to many people is because we are constantly told that we need dairy in order to be healthy.  The fact of the matter is, the human body was not created in order to drink milk that was specifically generated for a baby cow.  We simply do not have the chemicals available within our body to break the dairy down effectively.  Along with that, the majority of us have allergic reactions to dairy products and this can cause severe headaches on a regular basis.

One of the best ways for you to tell if dairy is behind the triggers that are causing your headaches is to remove it from your diet.  This will often give you an immediate idea as to whether it is the culprit or not.  Aside from that, you can record the various things that you eat and drink on a daily basis in order to see if there is some kind of a correlation between the dairy that you ingest and the headaches that you feel.  This can also help to root out a number of other food allergies that you may be experiencing that are behind your headaches.

Unfortunately, all of us have been fed propaganda from the dairy commission which tells us that if we don't have dairy products in our diet, we are going to suffer from such problems as osteoporosis and other calcium deficient maladies.  In reality, we can get calcium from a number of different products that have nothing to do with dairy at all.  We can also switch to goats milk which is easily assimilated by the human body and gives us the opportunity to have the dairy like products without the side effects of headaches and other problems.

Most people who have problems with dairy do not have them outwardly and may not be able to tell that it is causing the problems in the first place.  By simply removing the dairy from your diet for a period of time, you will be able to identify exactly how bad for your health dairy actually is.  It's something that many of us suffer from unknowingly and it is the source of many headaches that are self-inflicted.

PH Balance Your Headaches Away

There are checks and balances within the human body that need to be maintained regularly in order to enjoy optimal health.  One of those balances that many of us are not aware of is the pH balance.  The last time that most of us heard about this was whenever we were in science class but the fact of the matter is, this particular balance exists in every aspect of nature around us, including inside of our human bodies.  Whenever things are alkaline, they tend to be healthy but whenever they are acidic, disease and pain tends to follow.  Think of it this way, problems can not exist in an alkaline environment, such as disease.  That is why it is important for you to seek a balance in this regard within yourself.

The unfortunate thing is, we live in a world that does not really make it easy for us to seek this balance properly.  Most of the things that are available to us and considered to be normal are actually acidic whenever they enter into the human body.  A good example of this is the majority of the foods that make up the standard American diet.  Most of them are chock-full of preservatives and sugar, two things that turn acid inside of the body.  Even whenever we avoid sugar and use artificial sweeteners, we are not doing ourselves any favors as these are some of the most acidic things that we can possibly eat.

If you want to pH balance your body and remove your headaches, there are certain things that you must eat regularly in order to push the balance inside of your body in that direction.  I can't begin to go over the list of foods that exist which are able to turn your body alkaline but there are plenty of lists that are available for free on the Internet.

Something else that you can do which can help extensively whenever you have headaches is to rebound on a daily basis.  Rebounding is jumping on a small trampoline, which has a very balancing effect on the body.  It is also an excellent form of exercise which helps to release chemicals in the body that can help to remove the headaches that you are feeling.  If you rebound regularly and eat the proper foods, you can shift the balance inside of your body and say goodbye to your headaches.

The Effects of Allergies on Your Head Pain

There is probably nothing that is worse than having headaches on a regular basis.  Some of us may experience them to the point where we think that they never really stop at all.  It may seem as if one is going away while the next one is taking its place.  In order for you to be able to overcome this problem, you need to discover the triggers that are causing the headaches in the first place.  Typically, this has something to do with allergies in some form or another.

The first type of allergy that you may be dealing with is a food allergy.  All of us are allergic to some type of food, especially whenever it is prepared poorly and contains a lot of artificial flavor enhancers.  A good way to recognize this is to pay attention to how you feel after eating a meal out.  Do you tend to have a runny nose or a desire to clear your throat?  This is a food allergy, although it is mild.  Put a little salt on your comment, one of nature's best antihistamines and you will see it go away quickly.  Unfortunately, those food allergies may also be causing you headaches later on.

Another type of allergy that you may be dealing with it is seasonal.  There is always pollen that is in the air and the type of pollen that we are exposed to is changing with the seasons.  Most of us recognize that we have a problem in this regard and we try to do everything that we can to avoid it.  Believe it or not, one of the places where you're exposed to this in the worst way is whenever you are inside and asleep.  Because we tend to breathe deeper whenever we are sleeping, we take the allergens that are in the room into our lungs further.

That is why it is important for you to run a high quality air filter in the room where you sleep.  You should also make sure that you wash your hair before going to bed, as pollen tends to stick to it and then it is transferred to the pillow and directly to our nose.  As far as food allergies are concerned, keep a log of everything that you eat and how you feel after you eat it.  By systematically removing the things from our life that are triggering the headaches, we stand a good chance of being able to deal with them and perhaps even remove them permanently.

Breathe Away Your Head Pain

Without oxygen, the human body cannot survive more than just a few minutes.  As a matter of fact, even before the body itself dies, you will lose consciousness.  This just shows you exactly how important oxygen is and in many cultures, the air we breathe is considered to be our life.  In reality, many of them may not be far from the truth and unless we are getting adequate oxygen on a regular basis, a number of different health problems can occur which can include headaches.

If you really want to be balanced on the inside of your body and you give yourself the best opportunity to avoid problems, such as headaches, you need to make sure that the oxygen that it needs is reaching every part of it.  There are two different things that need to be done in order for this to take place.  First of all, you need to be breathing properly so that the oxygen is going to be able to get into your blood in the first place.  Secondly, you need to make sure that your circulatory system is up to par and that the blood is reaching every area of your body.  Once these two things are in place, you would be surprised with exactly how easy it can be.

As far as breathing properly, very few of us do this on a regular basis.  The way to tell if you breathe properly or not it is to watch your stomach whenever you are breathing normally.  If your stomach is going in and out, that is a sign that your diaphragm is moving which shows that you are breathing deeply.  Most of us tend to be chest breathers and we are never really filling our lungs up to capacity.  Even though the blood is picking oxygen up from the lungs, it may not be picking it up to the full.  Work on this consciously and you can change it over the course of time.

One other thing that you may want to consider is increasing your activity level in order to increase your circulation.  If you get cardiovascular exercise regularly, you strengthen the heart and allow it to pump blood into further areas of the body.  It also helps if you eat a proper diet and hydrate yourself properly.  Once you have these two things in place, your body will be in a position to be able to heal itself and you will see a reduction in the number of headaches you experience.

Tips on Managing Asthma

While some form of supervised treatment is usually required to manage asthma,
there are a number of things that you can do to improve respiratory health and
reduce the effects of asthma on your daily life.
● Exercise regularly. Many asthmatics avoid exercise for fear of inducing an
asthma attack; however, it is not necessary to live a sedentary life-style.
Regular, gentle exercise will help strengthen over-all lung and heart
functioning and may help reduce asthma— provided you keep it in
moderation and respect the limits of your fitness levels. If you are unfit, start
off slowly, gradually increasing activity as your fitness levels increase.
● Include Vitamin C, B6 and magnesium to your daily supplements as a lack
of these vital nutrients has been implicated in a number of inflammatory
conditions, including asthma.
● Avoid sulfites and preservatives such as sulphur dioxide and sodium
benzoate as these tend to trigger asthmatic reactions.
● Keep an ‘asthma diary’ to help you to identify triggers and determine when
your asthma becomes out of control.
● Avoid common irritants such as spray deodorants, perfumed cleaning
agents, and cigarette smoke, wherever possible.
● Reduce dust and pollen in your household. During pollen season, try
keeping the windows closed and opt for an air conditioner instead. Dust can
be reduced by replacing carpets with tiles or wooden floors, buying washable
curtains and blinds, and vacuuming upholstered furniture and mattresses
regularly.
● Wear a scarf over your nose and mouth if you have to go out in cold air and
avoid exercising in cold air.
● Treat colds and flu as soon as they become evident.
