Kinesiology Tape

Kinesi tape is a sort of special medical tape. Actually it is called kinesio tape and is a special elastic tape with no latex, designed to support muscles while offering an hudge range of motion. It is used mostly by sportsmen. The example is Kerry Walsh - beach volleyball. She is in Beijing for Olympiad. Look at her shoulder.



Kerry Walsh had shouldersurgery and removed bone chips and scar tissue.

The k-tape, and kinesiology taping method helped her to stabilize the shoulder during the matches and helps in circulation.

Kinesio Tape: There are some different school of k-taping.
It uses just a few strips of special elastic cotton tape.

So Called 'Kinesio taping', originates from Japan about 30y ago.
There are developed Kinesio taping procedures for all the sorts of muscle and also joint problems. The tape has to be left on body for several days.

Kinesilogy taping can be used for example for back pain in lower area.
It includess two vertical strips on both sidesof the spine and 1 horizontal strip.

Specialists say that Kinesio taping "corrects muscle function, improves circulation of blood and lymph, repositions the joint and relieves pain."

This tape is very inspiring for the athletes. Kinesio tape is important and really helpful when you get injured during the game, you can still play by using the helpful tape.
